New label announces remix EP series
Word reached us this week of a brand new label which aims to set some of Scotland’s finest talent firmly in an international context. The endeavour is called Hobbes Music and is the brainchild of Hobbes, a well-known DJ, producer and promoter in Edinburgh, who is behind the Trouble and Limbo nights.
The first release on the new imprint, Midnight Thunder (Trouble Remixes Volume I), certainly lives up to the billing, with an iO Sounds remix of Conquering Animal Sound‘s Treehouses, Neil Landstrumm‘s take on Auntie Flo‘s Sun Ritual, JD Twitch‘s interpretation of HRH‘s Pinky Ring and the Nightwave remix of Heavy Weather from Leonidas & Hobbes himself.
