The British coming of age film set in London follows the story of gap year student Jack, played by Poulter, who is coming to terms with his pre-destined path set by his parents and society.

The 23-year-old, who recently starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy in The Revenant, said: “This will be the first time seeing it on the big screen, so it’s very exciting.

“The fact that it’s in Edinburgh is amazing – it’s a great city, so we’re excited to be here.”

Alma Jodorowsky, who plays Jack’s love interest Evelyn, said: “My character is in her own world, a bubble I think. But I think it’s also a role that she plays because she doesn’t really feel comfortable with herself.

“I think they are going through the same thing about growing up and knowing what you want to do with your life and everything, so it was really nice to play.”

Poulter added: “Jack is so kind of het up on the rules and how he should be and what’s expected of him and I think they meet at this pivotal point in at least Jack’s life where he’s questioning if there’s an alternative path, and Evelyn definitely shows him that there’s more to life than just doing what your parents expect of you.”
