Palace of Holyroodhouse open-air concert

Harry Sutherland asks: "I seem to remember an open air concert held in the forecourt of The Palace of Holyroodhouse when King George VI and Queen Elizabeth and family stood on the open balcony and waved and sung We Are No Awa' To Bide Awa' with the crowd on the forecourt. Can anyone verify this? I think it was around 1950?"
