One Direction shop to open in Glasgow

A POP-UP shop selling T-shirts, mugs and even lifesize cardboard cutouts of boy band One Direction is to open in Glasgow this weekend.

The city’s Silverburn shopping centre will host 1D World, a travelling store selling the chart-topping band’s official merchandise.

The store has visited locations across the globe, and 9,000 people turned up at the Leeds opening of 1D World earlier in the year.

The band have sold more than 30 million records in just two years, and were awarded with a special honour at this year’s Brit Awards.

1D World is at Silverburn shopping centre from 20 July to 4 August.
