My perfect weekend: Claire Livingston

Claire Livingston, 29, is general manager at Jurys Inn in Galashiels, and lives in Leith.

Who would be your ideal weekend companion and why? Alan Carr because I think he is hilarious.

Where would you take them in Edinburgh? It’s vital that we go to the tourist spots such as Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, Mary King’s Close and the bus tour. The best part of Edinburgh is at the top of Arthur’s Seat.

Where would you go for breakfast/lunch/dinner? The best place for breakfast is Browns on George Street as they have something for everyone, then for lunch I would go to Vittoria on George IV Bridge. After lunch I would go downstairs to Divino Enoteca for a few glasses of wine. For dinner I would go to The Tower for amazing food and fantastic views.

What one item could you not be without? My mobile phone as it is attached to my hand. I would be tweeting all weekend.

How would your perfect weekend finish? We would end up in The Stand where Alan could heckle from the crowd.
