ON PRESENTING

I always thought TV presenting was for thickies, but I'm eternally grateful for my work. There are so many perks. The main one is I don't actually have to do much. On TV, my job is basically to get a fake tan and do some reading.

ON POWERFUL PARENTS

Having parents in that position can only help. Nepotism is a magnificent thing. Not in the sense of "Don't worry, love, I'll get you a job", but because they can give you advice.

ON UNIVERSITY

At home I was very cocooned. The outside world was a shock. I remember ringing my parents and saying, "Everyone here is so cold." And actually they weren't cold, they just weren't fascinated by what sandwich I'd had.

ON REALITY TV SNOBS

It's the same as people who get sniffy about Sistine Chapel tea-towels or music by Geri Halliwell. People who get uptight about Big Brother at dinner parties haven't seen it.

ON EXERCISE

Women are under ridiculous pressure to take the kids to school, have a fabulous job, run to the gym to get a perfect arse and be at home to perform special treats for their husband. It's insane.

ON CELEBRITY CRUSHES

I've a thing for Jon Snow. A man that bright who also isn't afraid of a jaunty tie is seriously attractive.

ON BRAINS

Anyone can have looks. It's about the brain and wit.
