EVER wondered what the most popular car is in each of Scotland’s main cities?

According to a survey, by comparison site carwow.co.uk of 10,000 UK purchases, both Aberdeen and Glasgow share an affinity for Audis, Ford is the most popular type of car in Edinburgh, those living in Inverness favour Nissans and Paisley residents prefer Vauxhalls.

Aberdeen: Audi

Dundee: Volkswagen

Edinburgh: Ford

Glasgow: Audi

Inverness: Nissan

Paisley: Vauxhall

The survey also found that people in Dundee splash the most on cars with an average spend of £28,254 with Aberdeen a close second at £26,157.

Red is the most popular car colour in Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh with motorists in Glasgow preferring black cars and those in Inverness and Paisley fond of white.
