IT IS my first week back from maternity leave and it has been great to see all of the fantastic features that Ashley Davies has run in the past months. I'm looking forward to bringing you many more over the coming weeks and am living in hope that the fabulous kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces we will show you do not prove problematic for me. You see, we moved house recently and we're renovating again. I know, I know, I definitely said 'never again' the last time, and I meant

Aside from stripping walls, there is also rewiring, plumbing, heating and replacement windows to think about, before we even consider the kitchen and bathroom, and general decor. Actually, now that I list just what needs to be done I'm starting to feel a bit weak myself...

Of course, any renovation goes hand in hand with the dreaded decision-making process, which is where my problem lies. When confronted with fantastic homes each week I can be easily swayed and inclined to change my mind as to what I want for my own home. Snap decisions not being my forte you might wonder why we don't take our time with some of these big decisions. Well, the grand plan is to move in after the work has been done, because everyone knows you just learn to live with things once you are in, so we are currently camping out at my parents' – and I think my mother might have something to say if we were still there in 2020.
