Lust Haves: Men on the move are sent packing

Good to go ****Daily basics with multi-vitamin day balm, active enzyme facial cleanser, soap, mini scrub and shaving cream, £34, Eyre BioBotanics at Mankind (www.mankind.com). A great selection of products, although the tester would have welcomed more of the shaving products in preference to the larger-sized cleanser and balm.

Size is everything *****

Essentials kit with moisturiser, body wash, shave cream, cleanser and flannel, 27.75, Liz Earle (www.lizearle.com). This comes with a really good-quality travel washbag, and the products were in great sizes too – not too big, but not fiddly wee things either. Everything you need to wash and brush up.

Spice it up ***

Men's starter set with shaving oil, nourishing face balm, body oil and cinnamon soap in an organic cotton bag, 21.95, Spiezia Organics (www.spieziaorganics.com). Using essential oils jojoba, bergamot and frankincense, these fill the air with a warm, spicy aroma and leave skin feeling soft and supple. Each item is quite small so more suitable for a weekend than a long holiday.

On your marks, get set, go! *****

Fillable travel bottles and flannel (plus toothbrush cover, zip-lock bag and labels), 7.50, M&S (www.marksandspencer.com). If nothing but your own products will suffice when you go on holiday, this is perfect. It meets the strict airport security regulations and allows you to decant all your favourite products into clear plastic containers.

On the move ***

Travel therapies riviera kit with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and face and body balm, 18, Temple Spa (www.templespa.com). On the up-side, the containers are all small enough to pack in hand luggage when flying. On the down-side, the "calming face and body balm" was not calming at all and made eyes sting for five hours after use.

Fresh as a daisy ***

Bay Citrus travel bag for men, with shampoo, post-shave balm, shower gel and soap, Arran Aromatics (www.arranaromatics.com). Great travel sizes. But the tester was disappointed by the fact that there isn't a soap container, which means everything gets covered in soap after you've used it.
