Loch Ard and Port Glasgow stand out at photo awards

THEY are two scenes of remarkable contrast – one a row of tenement buildings in Port Glasgow and the other a still, misty morning on Loch Ard in the Trossachs.

Both photos are today revealed as winners in the 2012 Take a View landscape photographer of the year competition.

Simon Butterworth’s Port Glasgow street took the Urban View award, while the shot of Loch Ard by Paul Bundle, of Cheshire, won the Living the View category.

The main £10,000 prize was awarded to Staffordshire’s David Byrne, for his photograph of two upturned fishing boat sheds with
Lindisfarne Castle in the background.
