Learig Close in Restalrig?

Kath Glover, from Meadowbank, has a query about Restalrig and is looking for help from readers.

She has just finished reading a book by Millie Gray about the area ('In a Class of Their Own'), which talks about a "Learig Close".

Kath and her friends are puzzled over the location of the street and wonder whether it was near the Learig Pub?

An Evening News reader replies: Beside the 'Lea Rig Bar' there ran a lane, leading to the factory premises of 'Cockie - Rosses' (String & Twine Manufacturers). This may be the location of Learig Close.
