Internationally recognised as an important epicentre for the visual arts, the space exists to stimulate public interest in art, design and architecture – attracting thousands through the doors every year, including academics and students of design from all of the world.

Gary Sanderson, CEO, House for an Art Lover says: “Designed by Charles and his wife Margaret over one-hundred years ago, the space is an homage to the work of one of the most important artistic voices in recent history.

“Originally designed as a theoretical build for an architectural design competition, the space is probably the most significant representation of Mackintosh’s style. Incorporating a unique blend of Art Noveau, Scottish Baronial and Japanese influences alongside Mackintosh’s own distinct architectural vocabulary, House for an Art Lover is arguably one of the most visionary buildings in the world today.”

Elaine Dickie, Glasgow City Marketing Bureau: “Mackintosh is one of the city’s most celebrated sons – something we are extremely excited to share with two lucky guests as part of this amazing overnight experience package.”
