Horseshoe's event lucky for Sick Kids

MORE than £2,000 has been raised for the Sick Kids' casualty department.

A fundraising evening in the Horseshoe Bar on Leith Walk involved karaoke, fancy dress and other money-spinning activities. One participant shaved off his shoulder-length hair while a die-hard Hibs fan wore a Hearts jersey for the night.

The cheque for 2,302 was presented to Sick Kids Friends Foundation chief executive Maureen Harrison.
