BEAUTICIAN Julie Shaw Binns has long dreamed of running her own salon.

And now, after years of training, she has ditched her day job in favour of opening up Nude Beauty Bar, a contemporary, bright and exciting venture within Preston Hair, in Comely Bank.

Visitors should expect more than a trip to a beauty salon when they step through the doors of Nude – it's more of an all-round feel-good outing, complimenting the bustling feel of the hairdressers above.

Do not expect calm and tranquil, rather the feeling of a night out during the day.

A wide range of treatments is on offer at Nude at competitive prices, including semi-permanent eyelash extensions (70 for a full set) and eyelash perms (28).

Minx, a nail covering favoured by Lady Gaga and Beyonc, can also be found at Nude, allowing toe nails to remain chip free for up to six weeks (30 for finger/toe preparation and application). Clients (men and women) can also expect to find routine treatments such as a luxury manicure (35) and a hand massage (7.50) – all with excellent customer service.
