JB Priestley’s Time And The Conways begins and ends in a British family house in 1919 and, in between, skips forward to 1937 to show how the snobbery and arrogance in that moment (within one family, and nationally) led to disaster. It opens on Tuesday.

If you haven’t already got tickets to Glasgow Film Festival’s closing night film, Joss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing, you’re too late, but there’s plenty more to enjoy in its second week, from John Carpenter’s sci-fi classic Dark Star with a live soundtrack, and rare big screen showings of Doctor Who’s two 1960s movies, starring Peter Cushing, to The Place Beyond The Pines, which reunites Ryan Gosling with Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance, and quirky B-movie homage The Legend Of Kaspar Hauser.
