Geminis branded the most accident-prone star sign

GEMINI is the most accident-prone star sign of the zodiac, with people born under it twice as likely to be injured as those born under Cancer, an insurer claimed yesterday.

B&CE Insurance, which analysed 458 personal accident claims, said Geminis accounted for 12 per cent of all the claims it received.

The group said Geminis were typically described as being restless and easily bored, and added that they often took unnecessary risks to hurry things along.

At the other end of the scale, people born under Cancer, who are described as being intuitive and wise, accounted for only 6 per cent of the group’s claims.

Those born under Taurus and Aquarius were also likely to be injured, with each sign accounting for 10 per cent of the claims received by B&CE.

However, the other signs of the zodiac were each responsible for an average of only 7 per cent or 8 per cent of payouts.

Brian Griffiths, chief executive of B&CE, said: "Many of us believe that if we take suitable precautions then we’ll arrive at the end of the day generally unscathed.

"However, it seems that, as careful as we might be, our fate is written in the stars."
