Gavin and Stacey star's biopic role

GAVIN and Stacey star Ruth Jones is to play Carry On legend Hattie Jacques in a BBC biopic.

The film looks at the actress's racy love life, which included an affair with a much younger man during her marriage to Dad's Army star John Le Mesurier. Hattie will be screened by BBC4 later this year.
