Game review: Asura’s WrathPS3/Xbox 360, Capcom, £37.99

You’ll find yourself watching each 20-minute “episode,” pressing buttons when prompted and every now and then being dropped into a beat ’em up section.

It’s not that this tale of demi-gods, betrayal and its angry protagonist isn’t entertaining – it looks great and the sheer scale of the sci-fi action as you fight planet-sized enemies is epic – it’s more that you don’t feel that you are truly effecting events. Your level of involvement feels nominal as it plays more like an interactive movie than a video game. A great rental but more of an acquired taste when it comes to a purchase.
