From Peter Pan to big gay weddings, Scots National Theatre unveils new programme

February: The Wall of Death – A Way of Life, at the Royal Highland Showground until 28 February.

March: A season of three new shows for young people: Empty by Cathy Forde, The Miracle Man by Douglas Maxwell and Mr Write by Rob Drummond – plus a takeover week for young people at the Tron Theatre.

April: John Tiffany directs Peter Pan, pictured right, a new, non-pantomime version of JM Barrie's adventure by David Greig, touring Glasgow, London, Edinburgh, Inverness and Aberdeen.

May: The Allotment in Govan, in a specially created arts bar at Govan Cross Shopping Mall. (29 and 30 May). Long Gone Lonesome, by Duncan MacLean at the Orkney Folk Festival. (21-23 May )

June: Little Johnny's Big Gay Wedding, Langside Hall, Glasgow (1-12 June)

July: Exchange 2010 the national celebration of youth theatre is at the Byre Theatre, St Andrews, for the first time. (5-10 July).

August: Caledonia. Satirist Alistair Beaton creates a new work based on the Darien disaster for the International Festival – full details later. Beautiful Burnout: Bryony Lavery's new work for the Pleasance is based around the world of junior boxing. (4-29 August, followed by dates in Glasgow and London.)

September and October: Black Watch. The international hit returns to Glasgow SECC (15 September to 9 October) and Aberdeen ECC (13-23 October), more dates to be announced.

November: The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart, by David Greig and Wils Wilson, in Jedburgh, Ullapool, Coatbridge and Berwick Upon Tweed.
