Frankfurt Motor Show: BMW i8 hybrid supercar

BMW showcased the final production version of its i8 hybrid supercar.

A 228bhp three cylinder 1.5-litre turbo engine drives the back wheels, while a 129bhp electric motor takes care of the fronts. Reassuringly old-school cleaning system, mind you. Electric-only range is 22 miles.
