Food News: Win for Greenaway’s ‘sexy’ style

Chef Mark Greenaway scooped a top award for his signature restaurant at the Scottish Style Awards in Glasgow.

Restaurant Mark Greenaway at No.12 Picardy Place in Edinburgh, which has only been open since February, walked away with the “Scotland’s Most Stylish Restaurant” title at the awards ceremony held at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery in Glasgow last week.

It was described by the judging panel as “plush and a little bit sexy”.

* THERE’S a new kid on the fine dining block in Edinburgh – The Mulroy on William Street which was officially launched last Sunday.

Head chef is Damien Rolain who trained in his native France, including at two Michelin-starred restaurant L’Oasis, near Cannes, before working at Abstract in Inverness and Edinburgh, as well as The Atrium and L’escargot Bleu in Edinburgh. The owner is Clemens Hoss-d’Estenfeld.
