Food news: Mix it up at home with Cointreau

Iconic French liqueur Cointreau is offering Edinburgh women the chance to learn the art of cocktail-making in their own homes.

Available only in Edinburgh, London and Manchester, from this month trained Cointreau mixologists can be booked for a "Cointreau Rendez-Vous Priv" for a maximum of 15 female friends.

• Award-winning chef David Haetzman has created a new summer menu at the Restaurant at the Rutland with a focus on "seasonal simplicity".

The menu boasts the best in seasonal Scottish produce, including Haggis and Red Onion Marmalade Tart (5.50), and Milk Chocolate Torte, with Malted Honey and Macaroons (6.00).

Diners can enjoy a two-course dinner for 20 or a two course lunch for only 10 to celebrate the launch.
