SCOTLAND is said to be a land of contrasts. From the Highlands of the north to the Lowlands of the south, with innumerable islands and inlets dotted along its coast, there is always somewhere new to explore.

With the idea of a ‘staycation’ - or holidaying in your home country - more popular than ever, increasing numbers of Scots are looking for quiet corners of Scotland to enjoy a short break.
