In The Fog (12A)

A railway worker (Vladimir Svirskiy) in occupied Belarus is unjustly accused by his partisan comrades of being a Nazi collaborator, and is unable to prove his innocence even to his wife. Ukrainian Sergei Loznitsa directs this slow-moving but suspenseful period picture. Well worth sticking with for its staggering payoff.

A woman (Noomi Rapace) whose face was ruined by a drunken driver makes a deal with a gang enforcer (Colin Farrell) to seek revenge in this watchable, moody potboiler. Contains scenes of violence and Tupperware.

Geoffrey Rush and Judy Davis return to Australia to see their wealthy dying mother. The barbed combination of toxic mother and opportunistic offspring is promising, and occasionally delivers.
