The great thing about The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer - apart from the fact it’s for a good cause - is that it is hilarious, utterly unpredictable and impossible to fake.

Unlike the original show, the criteria for being on it have nothing to do with baking skills.

There is no lowest bar to entry which leads to the glorious sight of four of the worst ever tiramisu biscuits lined up on a gingham tablecloth like a crime scene.

Here are the famous faces who will be stepping into the iconic Bake Off tent in 2020:

Richard Dreyfuss

The Oscar-winning actor - who has starred in films like Jaws, American Graffitti and Close Encounters of the Third Kind - rolls up his sleeves to take on the Bake Off gauntlet. He's gonna need a bigger rolling pin.

Louis Theroux

The documentarian with the cultiest of cult followings is arguably this series' most exciting entrant, and fans will be clamouring to see the bespectacled filmmaker swap tackling the dark side of the sex trade for a nice Battenberg.

Johanna Konta

The British tennis number one will be wanting to 'serve' up an 'ace' in the kitchen with her bakes, which hopefully, everybody will 'love'.

Carol Vorderman

Vorderman's penchant for maths and numbers from her Countdown days should serve the presenter well when it comes to working out those all important ingredient measurements. She can convert ounces to grams in a heartbeat.

Tan France

Netflix's Queer Eye reboot loans out one of the Fab Five to Bake Off, but will Tan's bakes be as tasteful as his hair and wardrobe?

James Blunt

Singer-songwriter James Blunt has penned some of the dreariest acoustic ballads of the last two decades, but if he brings his self-deprecating Twitter persona to the Bake Off tent, he could be the sleeper hit of this series.

Caroline Quentin

Presenter Caroline Quentin first rose to prominence in 90s sitcoms like Men Behaving Badly, and has since starred in shows like Jonathan Creek, and now presents popular BBC Two series The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes.

Alex Jones

One Show presenter Alex Jones - not the far-right conspiracy theorist shock-jock of the same name - has had hosting roles on Sport Relief, and placed fifth on the 2011 series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Rob Rinder

When he's not presiding over petty crimes cases, real-life barrister and fellow Strictly fifth placer Rob "Judge" Rinder is presumably practising his jam roly-polys.

Scarlett Moffatt

Such a staple of reality TV shows and celebrity specials that you'd swear you'd seen her on Bake Off before, former Gogglebox star Moffatt will be stepping into the Bake Off tent.

Mo Gilligan

Comedian Mo Gilligan began as an Instagram star before being shared by rap superstar Drake and going viral. He's since co-hosted Channel 4’s The Big Narstie Show, and fronted his own late night TV show, The Lateish Show.

Kelly Brook

Now a radio and TV presenter, model Kelly Brook first rose to fame among the centrefolds of the "lads mags" of the 90s, but is now more likely to be found behind the bar of her London pub Steam and Rye.

Alison Hammond

This Morning's resident chaos-causing Brummie, Hammond will hopefully be able to keep things under a little bit more control in the Bake Off tent.

Ovie Soko

Love Island heartthrob Ovie took fans' breath away last summer, and the 6 ft 7 London Lions basketball player will be hoping his bakes have a similar effect.

Patsy Palmer

Once an EastEnders staple, Bianca actress Palmer was recently revealed as one of the mystery voices on ITV’s The Masked Singer.

Joe Sugg

The YouTuber who went mainstream by doing well on Strictly and subverting the usual "Strictly Curse" narrative with a dance partner romance that wasn't totally beset by deceit and foul-play. Lovable ol' Joe.

Joel Dommett

Comedian Joel Dommett made his name on the stand-up comedy circuit, before moving into television with shows like Impractical Jokers UK and Drunk History; his most recent gig is as presenter of ITV’s The Masked Singer.

James Buckley

Former Inbetweeners-star turned YouTuber turned gambling advocate James Buckley will be hoping he can "complete" the Bake Off challenge (mate) this year. Just be wary when he gets the ham slices out.

Russell Howard

Comedian Russell Howard's 'Round The World' tour saw him beat Frank Sinatra's legendary eight-night residency at the Royal Albert Hall (Howard did 10), and perform China's largest ever comedy show earlier this year. But you're never too big for the Bake Off.

Jenny Eclair

Comedian and author Jenny Eclair will no doubt be rolling her eyes when she's asked to bake the food item of her namesake.

When can I watch it?

At the time of writing, Channel 4 haven't confirmed when the latest series of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer will air, beyond saying it will be broadcast in "early spring".
