Trainspotting turns 20 with one-off Glasgow screening

The event, set to take place on February 23, will take place in Saint Luke’s - a converted church venue.
The screening will be accompanied by a Q&A sessions, as well as some live entertainment - all for less than the price of a cinema ticket.

Hide AdSaint Luke’s is located just one mile from where principle filming took place, in the then-derelict Wills’ Cigarette Factory - even though the film is set in Edinburgh. 30 out of 50 scenes were filmed there.
The People’s Film Collective said: “We want to put on great events, bringing together like-minded people for the love of film and music and with a desire to experience something unique.
“We’re a film club with a difference. We aim to celebrate Pop Culture and inspired artistic vision and what better way to start than by screening Trainspotting which combines both so powerfully. It’s a film which really captures the spirit of what The People’s Film Collective is all about.
