A TELEVISION channel to give people more information about their health and allow them to make GP appointments using their remote control is being launched today.

The digital TV channel – available on Freesat, Sky and Virgin – is being launched by health secretary Nicola Sturgeon at the headquarters of NHS 24 in Glasgow.
