Outlander actor Sam Heughan spotted posing for photo shoot near Scottish war memorial
Scottish actor Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser in the series, was posing next to a smart, red Audi for a photo shoot near the Glenelg war memorial on Scotland’s west coast, just opposite Skye.
Rumours have been circulating on social media as to why Heughan, who was pictured wearing a kilt, was in the area.

Hide AdSome have said the actor was being photographed and filmed as part of the upcoming eight-part series “Men in Kilts" while others say he was there for a new Audi advert.


Trish Brewster who posted a photo of the unexpected sighting on Facebook said “not a bad view from the roadside today” after spotting Heughan, while another commenter posted more pictures of the man saying “there was a wee bit of drooling in the area.”
The Scottish time-travel fantasy series Outlander was recently named the most "bingeworthy" show in the world.
The series, which is based on the best-selling novels by American author Diana Gabaldon, follows the events which unfold when Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), a married Second World War nurse is visiting a circle of standing stones in the Highlands when she is propelled back to the time of the Jacobite Risings in 18th century Scotland, where she falls for soldier Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan).
The show, which went into production in a converted warehouse in Lanarkshire in 2013, has turned Balfe and Heughan into a huge stars.
