Directer Danny Boyle could be seen talking to the pair between takes, as they were filmed walking in and out of the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh.

A far cry from their look in the first movie, the pair look dapper as they strolled in and out of the building clutching papers and a briefcase.

But it seems they haven’t totally forgotten their roots for the sequel, with Miller still sporting his peroxide blonde hair, and McGregor wearing scruffy trainers with his suit.

The long-awaited sequel to cult smash is due to be released next year, and is understood to be loosely based on writer Irvine Welsh’s own sequel, Porno.
