On a recent holiday to Italy I found a rail of beautiful Forties and Fifties summer dresses in a local market, all for three euros each.

Who has great style?

Contributing fashion editor at Vogue, Lynn Yaeger. I love her eccentric style.

Name your favourite high street shop.

Cath Kidston, as there’s a wonderful selection of dresses in vintage-inspired floral prints.

Any fashion disasters you’d care to tell us about?

As a teen, wearing paisley pyjama bottoms, creepers and a suede fronted cardigan was probably not my best look.

What’s your favourite item in your wardrobe?

A Fifties lace evening dress that I’ve had for years and bought in a vintage shop in Dorset. The cut, fit, fabric and the workmanship involved in the design harks back to one of my favourite periods in fashion. You can’t help but feel elegant when wearing it.
