What’s the last piece of clothing you bought?

A pair of black suede Gianvito Rossi ankle boots from Theresa in Munich which will be my staple all winter.

What are you addicted to buying?

Hermès bracelets and cuffs.

Best ever bargain?

My cashmeres, which were bought for around £25 each from Ballantyne factory sales. Many are 20 years old and still in great condition.

Who has great style?

Inès de la Fressange and Phoebe Philo.

Cos for its simplicity and good basics.

Any fashion disasters you’d care to tell us about?

Whenever I venture into printed dresses. I love them on other people but they are not for me.

What’s your favourite item in your wardrobe?

My Begg & Co scarves which always complete and add colour to my outfit. I especially love the fine cashmere wispy ones and cashmere silk, and always carry one in my bag when I am travelling.
