Edinburgh International Festival set for opener

Russian mezzo soprano Yulia Matochkina will be joined by the Edinburgh Festival Chorus at the Usher Hall tomorrow night to celebrate the Edinburgh International Festival’s opening concert, the dramatic cantata Alexander Nevsky. Over 2,200 artists from 35 countries are taking part in this year’s event, which starts tomorrow.
