Dunsmuir Court cottage

Matilda Martin asks: Can anyone enlighten me about The Cottage in Victor Park Terrace of St Johns Road in Corstorphine? My husband lived there as a boy and left when we were married. I could never understand why it was packed in between two tenement buildings, Was there a building on the site previously, or was the space left for a purpose? There was a market garden directly behind the property.
