The Scottish Thistle Awards recognise the efforts made by companies and individuals across the industry, including accommodation providers, visitor attractions, tour operators, food and drink establishments and event organisers.

“It is with great pleasure that I’m awarding this year’s Silver Thistle Award to Stephen,” said Mike Cantlay, chairman of
VisitScotland, which organises the awards.

“His outstanding contribution to tourism for the majority of his working life means there is no one more fitting than him to be recognised for this award.”
