Colin McRae's Subaru rally car on the market

The owners of a German motor garage have put the iconic Subaru Impreza WRC on the market for €280,000 – roughly £230,000.
Emblazoned in full blue and yellow rally livery, the 300 horse power, gold wheeled car made its first appearance at the Monte Carlo Rally in January 1997 driven by McRae and co-driver Nicky Grist.

From 1999 to 2008 the Impreza fell into private hands, occasionally appearing at World and European stage rallies.
It was restored in the late noughties and was only moved for short testing trips.
McRae was the son of five-time British Rally Champion Jimmy McRae.
