Coleen Nolan: My Life in Clothes

What’s the last piece of clothing you bought? A cosy chunky-knit jumper from River Island.

Best-ever bargain? Believe it or not, I picked up a black handbag for £3.99 from my local garage and I still use it four years down the line. Whenever I carry it people ask me where it’s from, but when I tell them you should see their faces.

Who has great style? I think Victoria Beckham always looks good and I love her fashion collections, but she’s just so thin, it’s impossible for a curvy girl like me to replicate any of her looks.

Name your favourite high street shop? Tricky. The ones I most visit are Dorothy Perkins and Next.

What are you addicted to buying? I have a thing about make-up. I have about 70 mascaras which are all identical, but I just can’t stop myself when I see a new one.

Any fashion disasters you’d care to tell us about? In the early Eighties there was an incident with a pink shellsuit and a pair of white stilettos.

What’s your favourite item in your wardrobe? It has to be jeans – a good pair can change the way you look and feel and I particularly like wearing them with a fab pair of heels. They’re my fashion staple.

The Coleen Nolan for Marisota range is priced from £35-£140 and is available in sizes 12-32, see www.marisota.co.uk
