The Drunk in Love singer, who played two sell-out concerts at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro arena in February, posted the picture on photo-sharing app Instagram without comment to her 10 million followers - but the picture, showing a brick wall and bicycle, includes the phone number of the Ruthven Lane establishment.

At the time of writing, the picture has attracted more than 253536 ‘likes’ and over 700 comments.

Instagram user @joannemcneil asked: “Wait, is this in Scotland?” while fellow Instagrammer @jillgoudie posted: ‘That’s Glasgow! The phone number is for Ruthven Lane restaurants.”

Manager of the West End restaurant Emily MacKay, said: “We are delighted Beyonce has posted a picture of us on Instagram. For one thing, it’s great that such a superstar took an interest in the Glasgow scene while she was here, but we’re also just pretty chuffed she wanted our number that badly.”

The Hanoi Bike Club, famed for its Vietnamese street food cuisine including the noodle soup phở, and bánh mì - Vietnamese sandwiches - claims to be the first Vietnamese eatery in Glasgow, and has reportedly attracted celebrities in the past.
