Beauty Trick or Treat: Winter revitalisation facial

How does it work?

Over the last couple of weeks my skin has reached an all-time low. No matter how much moisturiser I use it stays the same – dry, dry, dry, and with an unhealthy tinge of grey. So it was with haste that I headed to Neal's Yard Remedies to try its latest treatment which promises to revitalise tired, dehydrated skin. Once you've completed the lifestyle and diet questionnaire it's straight on to the massage couch to start the treatment.

Neal's Yard Remedies is a purveyor of mostly organic, and always natural products, so you don't need to worry about nasty chemicals going on your skin. First, my face was cleansed with the calendula cleanser, followed by the orange flower toner. I was treated to a very relaxing facial massage before the white tea enriching facial mask went on. While it worked its magic, I was given a gentle hand massage.

The facial is also an opportunity to try Neal's Yard Remedies' newest product, the wild rose beauty elixir, which is infused with firming, repairing rosehip oil. For my treatment it was mixed with the frankincense hydrating cream for an extra boost.

Does it work?

The treatment lasts 30 minutes, but in addition to this you will be given advice about your skin as well as a small booklet of beauty tips and facial massage techniques. The harsh winter elements and central heating can play havoc on our appearance but regular massage will really help your skin's tone and elasticity.

Strip off or cover up?

There is no need to remove your clothes, just get comfortable under the towels on the massage bed.

Who is it for?

If you're worried about the toll this winter has taken on your skin but are short on time, this treatment is perfect.

How much is it?

20 for 30 minutes – this offer is available until the end of this month.
