The Calais refugee camp, nicknamed ‘The Jungle’, provides temporary home to a number of migrants and refugees who have made their way to France, with recent reports suggesting that the living conditions are extremely poor.

The unnamed artist clearly feels passionately about the current refugee crisis, having used the leftover materials from his recent art installation project ‘Dismal land’ to build shelters and a play park in the migrant camps of Calais.

Alongside the image of Jobs is an image of ocean-bound refugees looking to wave down a cruiseliner made to resemble ‘Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima’ and an image of a young girl looking through a telescope as a vulture sits on top.

Banky’s depiction of Jobs is a refence to the fact his father was a Syrian man named Abdulfattah Jandali, who had gave his son up for adoption due to pressure from his partner’s family.
