Author backs rights drive

THE author of The Gruffalo will be meeting pupils from two Edinburgh schools to help launch a new human rights initiative for children.

Children from Royal Mile and South Morningside primary schools will be joined by Julia Donaldson to help Amnesty International launch two new education resources at the Scottish Storytelling Centre tomorrow.

The two resources are a free primary school pack, which serves as a taster for human rights, and a new 148-page book full of activities and lesson plans for teachers.
