The film chronicles Jobs’ life between the 1970s and 1990s, but its veracity is already being debated by those closest to the story.
Steve Wozniak reacted to the footage saying that the clip was “totally wrong”, and that the Apple project was born of Wozniak’s experiences at the Homebrew Computing Club, with Jobs in another part of the country at the time.
In an online response to the clip, Wozniak said: “I designed a computer that was affordable. I gave it away to members of this club to help them. My goal was not money or power.
“In fact, when Steve came down and came to the club and saw the interest, he did not propose making a computer. Rather, he suggested we make a PC board so that others could build my computer easier.”
