Antony's head and shoulders above the rest

ONE of Britain's foremost sculptors, Antony Gormley, got up close with his latest offering – a half-buried cast iron statue sited on Belford Road.

The Angel of the North creator has just completed National Galleries of Scotland-commissioned project to install a smattering of thought-provoking statues along the Water of Leith.

Entitled 6 Times, half a dozen life-size figures now stand in the river positioned between the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and the sea.
