“The anniversary issue celebrates 75 years of The Beano and will also feature a host of other famous faces, yet to be announced. The 75th anniversary issue goes on sale on Wednesday, 24 July.”

Craig Graham, the Beano Editor, said: “The Beano celebrates its 75th anniversary this year and we’ve been working hard to put together an extra special issue that is packed full of menacing, pranks and jokes! We always planned to include Andy Murray in this amazing issue – but we’ve reworked the strip to reflect his historic Wimbledon win.”

Craig added, “The issue will also feature special guest writers and illustrators, celebrity contributions and young comic genius Zoom Rockman’s debut Beano strip! It’s been a real honour to work on this extra special issue and we hope Andy – and all our readers – like it!”
