Album review: Jon Fratelli, Psycho Jukebox

***Universal/Island, £13.99

Things have gone well for Jon Fratelli. His band's terracing singalongs warm up the crowds for Scotland football and rugby matches as well as working their magic at rock festivals.

Burlesque artist Lou Hickey played opposite him in Codeine Velvet Club, most of whom have been retained for this solo debut, which further celebrates the likeable laddism of Costello Music, if in a more two-dimensional way.

Like The View and Artic Monkeys, Fratelli loves the simplicity of 60s guitar pop on Rhythm Doesn't Make You A Dancer and Caveman, but Tell Me Honey, Magic And Mayhem and Oh Shangri La are a little too obvious.
