Plays for elderly to warn of dangers of bogus callers

A THEATRE company is set to put on plays for the elderly which warn of the dangers of bogus callers.

The Baldy Bane Theatre Company will give free presentations highlighting doorstep crime across West Lothian.

Trading Standards officers, Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service, and NHS Lothian and Carer Associations will be on hand to give advice.

Superintendent Graham Jones said: "This is a multi-agency approach to dealing with this type of crime, which has been known to happen in West Lothian. We will continue to investigate all reports fully and anyone identified as being involved will be dealt with."

The presentations will take place at the British Legion in Bathgate on March 2, at 10.30am; the Partnership Centre in Fauldhouse on March 4, at 10.30am; The Lanthorn Centre in Dedridge, Livingston, on March 9, at 1.30pm; and The Low Port Centre in Linlithgow on March 11, at 1.30pm.
