New fun at Celtic festival

NEWBATTLE Abbey College has unveiled a variety of new features for this year's Celtic festival, including a dance tent, food and drink tent and a children's tent.

Designed to celebrate Celtic culture and woodland heritage, the festival is based in the college's historic 16th Century building, grounds and woodlands and takes place on May 21.

The programme also includes traditional music and dance, woodland trails and arts and crafts.

Marian Docherty, depute principal of the college, said: "Organisers have been committed to providing even more entertainment and activities to suit every member of the family and I believe the new features certainly live up to that promise."
