New signings Rami Gershon and Tom Rogic have also failed to make the squad, despite space being available for them to play a role.

McCourt played a substitute role in the Champions League qualifying games against HJK and Helsingborg last year, but injuries have limited his role at Parkhead this season.

Juventus have added former Chelsea and Real Madrid striker Nicolas Anelka to their squad, along with new signing Federico Peluso.

Celtic take on the Italian giants in Glasgow on February 12, and in Turin on March 6.
