Partick Thistle 0-0 Queen of the South: 'Drab' show on both sides

THE spoils were shared in a match which was singularly devoid of Firhill thrills.
With little to enthuse over, travelling supporters were content to express their feelings about their club's current plight, with chants of "sack the board" and "Kenny must stay" supporters made it clear where their sympathies lie.
Their favourites might have broken the tedium by going ahead when Colin McMenamin broke free of a dogged Jags defence. Instead the striker pulled his angled drive wide of the far post.
At the other end Thistle brought their supporters to life with a sparkling move that saw Chris Erskine and Kris Doolan combine to put Iain Flannigan through. Alas, a wicked bobble on the rutted Firhill surface made a fool of Flannigan whose effort rose over the bar.
Dan Carmichael headed McMenamin's cross over as Queens threatened on the restart, while Thistle went even closer when Doolan's netbound header was clawed over the bar by David Hutton.
However, this drab affair hardly deserved a goal.
