SPFL fixture release revealed for 2024/25 season as start date confirmed for Premierships and lower leagues

Matches for 2024/25 campaign will be confirmed at end of June

The Scottish Professional Football League has confirmed that the fixtures for the 2024/25 season will be released on Thursday, June 27.

The SPFL plans to unveil the matches for the Premiership, Championship, League One and League Two that day at 9am, with the domestic league season due to begin over the weekend of August 3 and 4. The Premier Sports Cup, however, starts beforehand, with the first set of ties due to be played over the weekend of July 13. The top five teams from the Premiership will be exempt from the group stages due to their involvement in European competitions. The group-stage draw is due to take place on Wednesday, May 29.

A statement from the SPFL read: “Please be advised that the SPFL fixtures for season 2024/25 will be published on Thursday June 27 at 9.00am. All four SPFL divisions (Premiership, Championship, League 1 and League 2) will kick off on the weekend of August 3/4.”
