"I then played the first round of the championship and beat the club chef 2 and 1," he said.

Hide Ad"But I went to the doctors on the Wednesday and it turned out I had a heart attack while playing the previous night.
"I'm feeling great now and owe a huge personal thanks to all the staff at the Royal Infirmary."
Archibald hasn't wasted time regaining his form following the scare. "I've just had nine holes at Gifford and was round in level-par," he added.
